This page will explain how to move a tenant into a unit and the move the tenant out. The following steps will be explained:
Tenant Move In
Steps to move in a tenant.
Tenant Move Out
Steps to move out a tenant.
1) Tenant Maintenance -> From the Property Manager menu, select

Auto Move In
This function duplicates the Move In process explained above. The advantage

3) Select the type of tenants to move in. To view tenants already assigned
to a unit, select
4) Select "Tenants" and/or "Unit Owners".
5) Select "Active" or "In-Active" status.
6) Click the "Scan" button to display all of the Tenants matching the
criteria selected.
7) If all tenants are to be moved in, click the "Select All" button. Double
click the "MoveIn"
8) Enter the Property Code/Building Code/Unit Code where this tenant is
moving in.
9) If the lease dates have been set up, leave the box next to "Use Lease
Dates" un-checked.
10) Click the "Process" button to move the tenant in the unit.
Auto Vacate
This function duplicates the Move Out process explained above. The advantage
of this
Steps to automate moving out of tenants.
1) Tenant Movement -> From the Property Manager menu, select
2) Select the "Auto Vacate" tab.
3) To display all tenants whose lease will expire (or did expire) leave the
Property Code, Building Code and Unit Code fields blank. To view
tenants for a specific Property, enter that Property Code.
4) Enter the beginning and ending Lease Expiration dates. All leases having
an expiration date in this range will be displayed. The range is inclusive.
5) Select the appropriate tenant type.
6) Click the "Scan" button to display all of the Tenants matching the
criteria selected.
7) If all tenants are to be moved out, click the "Select All" button. Double
click the "Vacate"
8) Enter the correct move out date.
9) To leave the tenant assigned to the property/building/unit, make the
tenant inactive by selecting "Set Tenant/Unit Owners to In-Active".
Otherwise select "Remove Tenants/Unit Owners from Property/Building/Unit" to
make this tenant prospective.
10) Click the "Process" button to vacate the tenants.
Tenant Transfer
Use this process to assign a tenant to a new unit (even for a different
property or building). The tenant will retain all of the invoices and
payments from the previous unit. If the payment history is to remain
separate, vacate the tenant in the previous unit and setup a new tenant for
the new unit.
